Your Role & Responsibilities

What Does Gap Year Volunteering Actually Involve?

Your gap year with TravAction Nepal is flexible. You can choose from multiple projects, combining different experiences to create your perfect journey.

Your tasks may include:

  • Teach English

Work in local classrooms or monasteries. Help students build confidence in conversational English through creative lessons and activities.

  • Support Women's Empowerment

Teach English, Math, and vocational skills to women in Kathmandu. Run workshops in art and bracelet-making.

  • Care for Children with Disabilities

Spend time at our disability center. Provide therapy support, educational activities, and most importantly, love and attention.

  • Participate in Construction Projects

Help build schools, health posts, and community centers. Work alongside local builders and learn new skills.

  • Join Medical Outreach

Shadow healthcare professionals. Assist in hospitals or join mobile health camps in remote villages.

  • Explore Nepal

Use your free time to trek, travel, and discover Nepal's incredible landscapes and culture.
